LETTER FROM THE PASTOR

A Place Where My Son Belongs

From: Kimberly

“Having a child with Autism means every step forward is meaningful. GcKids has given Jake a

place where he is safe, seen, and celebrated.”

GcKids has been a blessing straight from Jesus. Over this past season, we’ve watched Jake grow

in ways we once only prayed for. The love, patience, and consistency he receives every single

week has helped him feel truly understood.

He now walks in smiling, saying hi to everyone, and even chooses to be the “Worship Leader”

for his class. This ministry has given our family hope, joy, and a place to belong.”

“We could never fully express the blessings we’ve received through GcKids.”

From: Stephany

“Serving in GcKids has brought joy, healing, and community to our family. We’ve seen God at work in small ways and big ways — from kids learning about Jesus, to volunteers offering prayers, meals, encouragement, and support in difficult moments.

We are better because of this ministry. It shows us what the hands and feet of Jesus look like.”

Gckids Was the First Place We Felt Truly Welcomed

From: Crystin

"Gckids has been an incredible blessing. It brings Jesus close to the littlest hearts — and has made our family better."

When we came to GRACE in 2019, we had never felt more welcomed. The love and reassurance we received at drop-off changed everything.

I began serving shortly after because the team was so genuine, warm, and Christlike. Clarissa and her team have shown our kids Jesus in big and small ways — helping with separation anxiety, teaching kindness, and modeling compassion.

Our family has grown spiritually because of GcKids. The ministry has shaped our home and strengthened our faith.

This expansion ensures more families experience that same welcome.”

From Fear and Anger to Joy and Belonging

During our first VBS in 2023, a little kindergarten girl came for the very first time. The first couple nights were extremely difficult. She was scared, overwhelmed, defensive, and hurting — and often tried to run away.

But our team covered her with patience and love. Week by week something changed.

She kept coming.

Today she runs to give us hugs every time she sees us. She has become a joyful, confident little girl who loves this church and loves Jesus with all her heart.

Watching her transformation has been one of the greatest privileges of our ministry.
